Worklist 2008/2009

We survived hurricane Omar, while Havana beach/Surfside Bay on Aruba's west coast turned into a serious and unique leeshore (mid October), we lifted our anchors and motored into the channel behind the reef (see real time photo rigth here)

The deckhouse gets new oyster white IMRON polyurethane paint
The new LOFRANS windlass gets a NEW 100 meter long 14mm galvanised achor chain, and we learn that this heavy chain provides extreme holding with the 140 lbs CQR anchor
2 NEW jibsheets 1 inch/24 mm diameter and we restich the sunbrella suncovers of the 2 headsails , which are from 1995 by Lidgard NZ. The jib has been working a lot, but is still fine.
Genoa got never used and is a topper!

The biggest job of the year: In October 2008 we restart the charter business in Aruba, which was half asleep since 2001. Our fans came back on Monsoon and we sailed and will sail again to the ligthhouse, as well to Punto Fijo and to Aves.

We got a new washing machine and a BROWNIE third Lung to clean the bottom and to find faster and more oysters.
