Below you can read the contract which will be
presented to the newly arrived so called
LOW BUDGET crew members upon their
arrival on board, and if you wish to join
Monsoon cruise, then e-mail all missing
info to complete the form below and ask
cap if you're aloud to come.

Monsoon crew contract/agreement made between:

crew will be allowed to stay, cook and sleep on the Monsoon from
date .........................................

crew and cap will make every reasonable effort to avoid damaging Monsoon
and or her equipment and gear; crew and cap will keep boat clean and tidy
and crew will support cap upon request with repairs and maintenance.

crew and cap will be helpful and cooperative to realize a well being on
board in comfort and safety and in full pleasure.

crew will help paying costs of diesel fuel, mooring and docking fees and
general ship maintenance costs with his/hers personal daily financial
contribution in cash: US$......... per day payable to cap by crew in advance
for the above planned period of staying, with partly refund at earlier
departure. Amounts, payments and signatures for these all will be written
on the backside of the original signed contract.

cap decides on sailing routes, stopovers, and a route planning of a intended
voyage does not imply any obligation for cap to sail/stop indeed as was
planned or intended before. Route + program changes are for 100% to decide
upon by cap.

The use by crew of dinghy&outboard during private use, partying and playing,
and the use of dive/snorkel gear and windsurfer will be for full risk
and costs of crew and only take place with permission of the cap. Severely
damaged or disappeared items will be immediately replaced by crew for
NEW of same brand and model. And next to this each person entering into
this agreement is responsible for their own property and personal safety
and will have no recourse to any other person for loss, damage or injury.

crew will put a daily amount of money (cap will tell you how much, mostly
around 10 US$) into the family-monsoon purse, necessary to cover costs
of crew's food and drinks; personal legal fees into certain countries
and parks will be paid directly by each individual aboard the vessel upon
arrival in these places.

crew declares to be good swimmer, and to be of good health without any
serious and known physical and/or mental shortcoming that could endanger
him/her/others during sailing, storms, night watches, snorkeling/diving,
and whatever other critical events.

the use of tobacco and alcohol is only allowed to certain levels and with
permission of cap. For example it will be NEVER permitted to use alcohol
and/or tobacco during the sailing at sea.

cap and/or crew have the right of terminating and canceling this contract
at any time and crew will leave or have to leave on her/his own costs,
but crew gets the paid staydays partly refunded by cap.

In event mentioned in above #10, all the costs of crew and his/her luggage
to depart from Monsoon and continue to do her/his own things, all these
costs will be paid by crew, including cabs, airline tickets, paperwork,
immigration/custom formalities, etc.

Crew will supply to cap copies or his/hers insurance papers before the
first departure with the Monsoon, of the personal insurance aswell as
of the special luggage, IA.

All legal conflicts rising from crew behavior on/in the various countries,
aswell as damaging third party goods/property etc. will be for the crew
to be settled and cap in no way will be involved in these matters. Further
the vessel Monsoon is Dutch registered and Dutch law is applicable on
the vessel. No drugs, weapons and violence is allowed.

Before entering on the official crewlist of the vessel, the new crew must
supply proof of funds and show to cap travel tickets to the home country.

On request of cap in any situation at sea or in the bay/marina, the crew
will rotate in a 24 hour watch for security of vessel and equipment.

On request of the cap the crew will move on to other cabin/bunk on board
to arrange sleeping space for others, and /or crew will share his/her
cabin with others, all decided by cap.

crew has to e-mail to cap all data necessary to complete this contract
form at least two weeks before coming over to Monsoon and crew cannot
come aboard without permission/ confirmation to join the cruise e-mailed
to him/her by cap.
