Yacht Monsoon & Aruba
Best things to do !!!

-1- coastal sail on Monsoon
-2- wind/kite surfing - the huts
-3- eating really fresh fish
-4- nice diving with Fly&Dive
-5- the latin and disco nightlife
-6- the sea and beach fun

How to get most out of this small island in your mostly very short holliday. First of all: Use Monsoon in Aruba as your floating hotel and save lots of bucs and hassle. You could come with a party of up to 15 persons (a couple on deck and in the hammock) You could even do you own cooking on board. If you wanna be close to the capital (named Oranjestad) or do a lot of partying we move the ship to Havana Beach, with a 3 minute dinghy ride to the town centre, and a 5 minute cab ride to the airport. If you wanna windsurf and have tranquill nights, we move Monsoon towards the northern Fisherman Huts, where you could as well dive the big Antilla wreck. (we have the gear and the dive compressor) All along the coastline find white sandy beaches.
Aruba has strong and stable tradewinds from month Feb to August and is excellent for a day or afternoon sailtrip on Monsoon along the north western coastline (from Havana Beach towards the Northern tip of the island we are often blasting 9 knots of speed.

So even when you don't want to stay/sleep on Monsoon, still best thing to do is a afternoon coastal sail trip from Havana Beach to the Northern point of Aruba. This is not very wild but still good and exiting sailing , thanks to that strong Arubian trade winds.

We would love to
take you out sailing

Nearby dual destination ideas from Aruba:
Curacao, Bonaire, Islas las Aves, mainland Venezuela
, Islas Los Monjes.

Once on Aruba for a holliday one has to be pretty brave to leave this island by ship/yacht, as all surrounding seas are rough and most uncomfortable. Not many do it but if you want this, be sure you have a good plan and a good idea of all passengers seakeeping ability and captain Monsoon will inform you in all details.
You could fly of course from Aruba to Curacao, Bonaire and peninsula Paraguana on mainland of Venezuela. But You can't fly to Islas Los Monjes or to Islas Las Aves, only Monsoon goes there!
see also map of south Caribbean

Curacao (70 miles eastward) is a nice and more Caribbean style island, more variety in landscape and a colorful fruitmarket downtown on little boats. South east of Curacao we find a small paradise island called Klein Curacao, good for a stop-over and do some windsurfing and kitesurfing.
Next in the chain to the east is
Bonaire from where one can sail quickly to Islas Las Aves.

Islas las Aves.....

Consist of two uninhabited coral atolls offering you the most beautiful corals of the Caribbean, most
exciting diving/snorkeling and a superb hide-away ambiance. In 2004 we discovered here the canons of the lost French armada, and furthermore a few brilliant coral formations and a real great cave with some real size sharks. Inside the circular reef is tranquillity. Also for kids and non-seafarers. Buy fish and lobsters from fisherman around. Las Aves is our #1 !! Only 5 hours sailing east from Bonaire which has good air connections.

If you want to get an impression of mainland South America, than a visit to Paraguana is something recommendable. Old american cars, beer for 20 cents, local flavors, lots of fruits, crazy people, it's all yours here: South America's Paraguana.

Last but not least: Islas Los Monjes.
A few barren rocks in the middle of the Caribbean sea, between Colombia and Venezuela. A bit a Falkland island lookalike. Very seldom visited and pure nature style.
