This hourly rate is valid for groups up to 10 persons sailing along Aruba.
Each persons extra add 5 U$ per hour. Pricelist

Sailing & wind conditions along Aruba's leeward coastline
It's not always as windy as on the day that some of the pictures for this web site were taken, but if you pick your day, you could get some exiting real sailing along this leeward side of Aruba, which is excellent for enjoyable sailing.
On request we easily reef down the sails, to go a bit quieter.
Food&drinks
When you bring your own food & drinks, there is NO extra fee for this; maybe even a discount
If you want you can ask me to take care of anything you wish.
Music
We have a variety of music on board, and the music volume we can regulate from very loud to OFF. There is latin,cuban, salsa, merengue, bachata, baillenato, rock, reggae(ton), Bach, Satie, Chopin, Debussy and Clapton. (or bring your own, any MP3 is fine)
Along Aruba's leeward coastline, within a few miles offshore where is hardly any swell and motion of the vessel is generally smooth, the chance of getting seasick is close to zero. However, if you get already seasick when looking from your beach chair to boats passing by (or when you have extreme fears for water and the sea), then turn your beach chair 180 degrees, sit down and stay calm and stay there. (maybe sip a water)
Liability
Passengers will be shuttled from NIKKI beach CLUB to the yacht Monsoon by a 13 ft RIB inflatable tender. Only soft shoes or bare foot please on board of Monsoon, and please do not bring any sand from the beach.
Once on board you'll have to sign the liability waiver that you should read here. Completing this agreement is important and not personally signing this contract could result in loosing your insurance coverage.

Jan van Roekel (Dutch technical engineer) is the proud skipper/owner, living aboard since 1993, sailed Monsoon twice via Easter Island (pict right) across the Pacific to and from New Zealand. Made during 19 years 75.000 nautical miles with his Monsoon, has done many years charters in Aruba with Monsoon and speaks Dutch, English, Spanish, German, French and Greek. (a little bit)

Monsoon specs
Monsoon is a classic sea going sailing yacht, with two masts. She is a so called ketch. She is professionally designed and built and well equipped for the most demanding open ocean voyages and she has made 3 Pacific Ocean crossing. She carries all furling sails, a 185 horsepower marine diesel engine, and twin diesel generators. Monsoon has a stable 60 tons displacement (over 130.000 lbs), a pleasant interior and a clean bathroom.
